It adds an extra icon in My Computer, and presumably runs all the time consuming system resources. The fix seems to be to run the following command (from Start -> Run):

regsvr32 /u “%COMMONPROGRAMFILES%\Ahead\Lib\MediaLibraryNSE.dll”
