That sounds pretty shite service matey. Spookyly thought, I bought the same pump from amazon, and paid £22.57 Inc delivery. I can't tell from the iThingy app who I got it from, but mine arrived within 5 days.

Will check the next time I'm in front of a pc :)

One of my friends just brought this to my attention and having checked my order from September 2009, my card number and CVV number were both plainly visible in the same link to "online security"... Doesn't look like they fixed it after all Chris but they had a stab at, took out the expiry date an so on and somehow felt that leaving the card number and CVV were perfectly acceptable! Less than impressed...

apart from the obvious information attack vector outlined here and TheRegister - it looks like that application is also susceptible to replay attacks, CSRF looks likely and a whole how of other problems of using a GET to copy data like that.

Thanks Jun - I checked out the Savasocket website (www.savasocket.com) and it looks like it's based on the same technology but has a more modern-looking design as you say. I still think I prefer the more compact Standby Saver but it's good to have alternatives, although I noticed that the Savasocket isn't available yet and there's no pricing information currently available.

I've seen another product which does the same as this called a Savasocket. It looks a lot slicker too.

Hi,

I was suffering from a noisy ATI graphics card fan. I had attempted to clean all the dust from the fan and heatsink, but just cleaning it had no effect. I then found this post. I removed the card again, unplugged the fan from the card and removed the complete fan/heatsink assembly - easy enough, it just clips in. I then removed the fan from the heatsink and carefully peeled back the label on the underside and added the smallest drop of oil to the screw/bearing underneath. I then reassembled everything and the noise is cured and the fan is working!

Thank you for posting this advice, which has saved me lots of money!

Regards

Goodbye 'Outlook Express provided by Wanadoo' search bar. Thanks very much for your help. Another happy bunny! That has been annoying me for so long. (I helped to set up a Wanadoo account via my computer for a friend a couple of years ago and somehow the Wanadoo search bar got stuck on my Outlook Express.)
